Camille Chastang (née en 1994, travaille entre Nice, Paris et Berlin)
Camille Chastang strives to reconcile and claim in her work an equal status between decorative and fine arts. Her plastic thinking is linked to a more theoretical approach to drawing as a medium that can deconstruct the power relationships between artistic practices and reconsider the hierarchical connections between motifs, chosen subjects and genres. Thus, going beyond the ornamental and figurative dimension commonly attributed to it, the plant is activated in her installations as a tool for emancipation.
