Beatrice Celli (born in 1992, lives and works in Marseilles and Castelli (IT))
Through invented folklore and intertwined beliefs, Beatrice Celli creates a personal mythology that invites, in a syncretism combining classicism and craftsmanship, fine arts and vernacular, to imagine new worlds. In the mystical and popular culture of her native Abruzzo (IT), she seeks a spirit of independence that would exorcise the tensions of the present time. Her sculptures, performances, texts and installations incorporate modest and raw materials, traditional craftsmanship or neglected histories.
